Multimedia Conferences Set; Planning for Regional Conference Ongoing

Multimedia Journalism Training Day Feb. 20 in San Marcos & El Paso


On Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, NAHJ will hold 10 multimedia training sessions at two Texas campuses: Texas State University, San Marcos, and the University of Texas at El Paso. Learn everything from editing video on Final Cut to building a website. Register now! Space is limited.


The National Association of Hispanic Journalists along with NAHJ Region 5, Texas State University, San Marcos, and the University of Texas at El Paso are hosting a series of multimedia workshops Saturday, Feb. 20. Take advantage of this full-day of intensive workshops which will include training on: editing video using Final Cut Pro or Final Cut Express, using the latest in Social Media for better storytelling and journalism, creating your blog inexpensively using Wordpress, shooting and editing video for effective visual storytelling, editing with Photoshop, recording audio well to tell stories more effectively and with more impact, streaming live video using your laptop or cell phone, and much, much more. Fresh off last year's wonderful convention in San Juan, Puerto Rico chock full of multimedia journalism training, NAHJ is now bringing more of that training to your backyard. And more will be coming to cities before and after the 28th Annual NAHJ Multimedia Convention & Career Expo, June 23-26, 2010 in Denver, Colorado.
