San Marcos and El Paso Multimedia Conferences Saturday, Houston Region Conference March 20

Region 5 Members,

Don't forget our multimedia conferences on Saturday in San Marcos at Texas State and at the University of Texas at El Paso. These are great opportunities to get hands-on training at a great price. This stuff usually cost close to a $1,000 and you're getting it for $40 for NAHJ professional members and $20 flor NAHJ Student members.

Take advantage of the training. Our numbers are low at UTEP. If we don't get more people, we will have to reschedule. So please if interested, sign up. For the UTEP Conference, click this link http://www.nahj.org/2010/01/multimedia-and-social-media-day-on-the-border-for-journalists/ For the San Marcos Conference click this link http://www.nahj.org/2010/01/multimedia-and-social-media-day-for-journalists/ I'll be in San Marcos so see you there.

Don't forget the Region 5 Conference in Houston at Rice University on March 19-20. I have attached the schedule of events with speakers and topics. We will have a Townhall Friday, March 19, followed by an all-day conference Saturday, March 20. The price will be $20 for NAHJ students, $35 for non-NAHJ students, $40 for NAHJ Professionals and $60 for non-NAHJ Professionals. I hope you can start signing up for that next week on the NAHJ website at http://www.nahj.org/

These are all mini conferences and just a taste of what you'll get if you go to the 28th Annual NAHJ Multimedia and Expo Convention in Denver from June 23-26. The big difference from these regional and multimedia conferences is you get it close to home and it's a lot cheaper. Hope to see you at one of these events.
